The dangers of Yoga

Yoga is a technique that tends to be achieved by ascetic and psychic means, the control of vital functions, perfect mastery of the body and finally unity with the very essence of the person.

This definition of the lexicon applies to "Hatha-Yoga" that is to that branch of Yoga which is the most widespread in Europe, in reality, serves as a basis for the other branches.

The various forms of Yoga all have their origins in pagan history of ancient India and received their formulas from Hindu philosophers, they sought, not only the total mastery of the body and soul, perfect control of feelings and thoughts, but, in its subsequent stages, they also aspired to the elevation of the "I" towards the supreme being that, in India, it is called «Brahma, the only one, The eternal "or" lnra, the king of the gods ".

The whole of Yoga (Sanskrit word meaning "conjunction") it is defined in the «Lexique Universel Suisse» as being «one of the six orthodox Hindu philosophical systems, in search of forces and states of consciousness (mystical visions)extraordinary, as well as the union of mortal man with the Universal (the divine), the means of recollection, of meditation, of systematic ascent and ecstasy, of breathing exercises and postures, which affect muscles and nerves ".

Nello Hatha Yoga, adapted to the western world to make it simpler and more accessible, we would like to present if not a technique to soften the limbs and the whole body and thus ensure better physical health. Its propagators claim that it is not "classical gymnastics", trying to exercise and tone the body; but rather a physical training through a kind of "motionless gymnastics". It consists in taking certain positions or postures of relaxation, that do not require rapid or sudden movements.

Basically, it is above all a question of "successive poses" and a "concentration of thought" with a spiritual outlook, as specified by the Catholic monk J. M. Dechanet, fervent propagator of Yoga called Christian.

It is true that physical exercises have a beneficial effect on the health of the body. Some people, who have practiced Yoga, they claim that the practice of Yoga has improved their health. however, Yoga sessions are not without danger to the body, in that certain postures are taken against nature. Even in Europe, there are several classic and healthy gymnastics, which tend to make the body more malleable, and to improve their health, without however putting oneself under the spiritually harmful influence of Yoga.

The real consequences of the practice of Yoga are almost unknown. Its external appearance, as it shows slow movements, it serves to mask its true purpose on the spirit. Whoever learns Yoga opens his body and spirit to the influences of the invisible world and leads to Hindu spiritism.

The "Center d’Etudes" of Yoga in Paris says:

Even without wanting to make Yoga a spiritual discipline, you see how the breathing exercises, the postures and relaxation techniques have a direct action on the brain and spiritual pathways… If the influence of the spirit on the body is evident, the influence of the body on the spirit is less known. Mastery of the body therefore leads to that of the spirit… This is why this method is considered to be the most proven, that is Yoga, as being the safest, and whose principles have been discovered for several millennia by the philosophers of India. The "Euro-Yoga" method (Hatha Yoga) it is for Westerners the most effective and the one that best suits their particular problems and their type of civilization. It is directly derived from the techniques taught by the great contemporary masters of the ancients of India. Hatha Yoga transforms personal life, the body and the spirit.

Mrs E. Ruchpaul, founder of the "French Federation of Yoga Practitioners", created for the training of teachers, declares:

Yoga is silence, immobility in listening to oneself… It deals with, in first, to free oneself even briefly from habits and patterns inherent in the West… Doing Yoga means meditating with your body.

J. M. Dechanet, known with his book «Voix du silence» he writes:

Yoga is included in this word: "Meditation" that is a series of reflections, and efforts of understanding. It is the annihilation of all mental functions. Its purpose is the control of the body and vital energies… its final purpose is to prepare man for the possession of that stillness of the spirit, that is necessary for him to realize the "Supreme" or consciousness of the "Divine". We want to master the body and its instincts and then awaken the spirit! The practice of Yoga makes you more receptive, that is, more open to personal exchanges with God. It stimulates the life of faith. It should not be forgotten that its purpose would be to facilitate contemplative prayer.

These public statements show how the "postures" of Yoga , than at first glance, they appear to be harmless and even beneficial to the body, in reality they have a rather deleterious action on the spirit. Without anyone realizing it, these ascending meditations, with its contemplative postures, they lead to separation from the material world to open up to the influences of the spiritual world. However, the postures themselves are often a symbol of worship etc., not to mention the "prayers"Or meditations that are recommended during the exercise of his practice. While performing the "postures of silence and meditation" one submits unconsciously to influences of Hindu religions, spiritistic and demonic, which are the ones that inspired Yoga in its various forms, even those adopted in the West.

Those who are authoritative in the teaching of Yoga, they contest the statements of certain newspapers, inasmuch as "Ha-ma-Yoga" would act only on the physical and would be devoid of any religious purpose. Followers of Yoga show that with this method of mastery over the body, man tries to get in touch with God, to save himself and to transform himself. Yoga offers, in conclusion, salvation with personal efforts, directed from the outside to the inside, bottom up. Instead, God acts from the top down, from the inside out; He sent His Son to earth to regenerate the spirit and heart of man through the Holy Spirit, revealing Jesus Christ in us, for faith in His grace, without any carnal effort on our part.

Anyone who is already unconsciously bound by the bonds of superstition and witchcraft is easily attracted to Yoga and its Hindu character., our so-called Christian countries, they are increasingly dominated by occult powers, thus the Hindu spirit finds easy access to it, also as pro-Yoga practitioners. It is therefore necessary to warn people of the danger posed by Yoga and lead them to the cross, where the Lord has overcome these powers of the East.
