The Bible is printed in 4 ° with two-column text with very small round characters and with frequent and very elegant wood engravings.
The Gioliti printing house was one of the most important in the Venice of the sixteenth century. Founded by Giovanni Giolito de’ Ferrari, he continued to print splendid volumes, especially with his son Gabriel.
The activity ceased in the early seventeenth century.
The two volumes of the Old and New Testament are brought together in one volume. The first has 679 pages, The second one 199 pages plus indexes. Each tome has its own title page.
The volume is bound in modern full leather with dry-embossed friezes on the plates and spine (3 nerves).
