The Land of the God of Abraham

The photograph shows one of the most deserted areas in Palestine, namely the west coast of the Dead Sea. Rock spurs overlook the coast, always exposed to the very hot rays of the sun, often windswept. Here there are many natural caves. The area is called Qumran.

The Jew has always given great importance to his land and considers it the most beautiful and happy in the world. In reality, Palestine is a land where it is quite difficult to live and where it is often very hard to work. The importance that the Jews give to it is the religious value and does not arise from the well-being and wealth that this country can offer.

It will happen on that day: each one will raise a heifer and two sheep. For the abundance of milk they will make, you will eat the cream; every survivor in the middle of this country will eat cream and honey. (Isaiah 7:21-22)

We know the places where it all began…
