The apparitions and messages of Fatima

image_pdfimage_print

According to the Catholic Church, the Virgin Mary appeared in Fatima in Portugal numerous times in 1917 to the three little shepherds named Lucia, Francis and Hyacinth. As the Roman Catholic Church has approved and fully accepted these visions as from God, has in turn influenced hundreds of millions of people over the years by letting them believe that messages and i “secrets” given by Our Lady of Fatima are very important among all the Marian apparitions.

The Bible commands Christians to to examine all, including visions:

Examine each thing and feel good. (1 Ts. 5:21)

Dear, do not believe every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God:; because many false prophets have arisen in the world. (1Giovanni 4:1)

How can we tESTING these visions to ascertain their origin? First of all by analyzing the messages to see if they are biblical and then testing them as God has commanded us to do (read: How to know if the messages are from God).

The Message of Fatima

The visions of Fatima which consist of three apparitions of angels and at least six apparitions of Mary, they would make us focus our attention on Mary as the “our refuge”, “the way to God”, “our protector”, etc. Also, according to these Catholic visions, fine for sin will come to Mary. Please carefully note the following statements which were communicated by Maria to Lucia in Fatima.

All citations in this listing are from the booklet entitled, The Message of Fatima a Lucia leading the’imprimatur of the Vatican.

Pray the Rosary every day, in order to achieve world peace and an end to war (p.24).

Jesus wants to use you to make me known and loved. He wants to establish devotion to my Immaculate Heart in the world (p.26).

I will never leave you. My Immaculate Heart will be your refuge and the way that will lead you to God (p.26).

These are the words of Lucia:

In front of the palm of the Madonna's right hand there was a heart surrounded by thorns that pierced it. We understood that it was the Immaculate Heart of Mary, outraged by the sins of humanity , and that he wanted redress (pp.26, 27 ).

What I remember is that Our Lady said that it is necessary for people to pray the rosary to obtain graces during the year. And he continued: “Say often, especially when you do some sin: 'Oh Jesus, this is for your love, for the conversion of sinners and the redemption of sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary” (p. 29).

Our Lady of Fatima said:

Ayou have seen hell where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wants to establish devotion to my Immaculate Heart in the world. If you do what I tell you, many souls will be saved and there will be peace (p.30).

And then with a sad expression she said: “Pray, pray a lot and make sacrifices for sinners, for the many souls who go to hell because they have no one to pray and sacrifice for them” (p. 35).

I want to tell you that I want a chapel to be built here in my honor, because I am the Madonna of the Rosary. Continue to pray the Rosary every day (pag.40).

The message given to Lucia in 1925

Then the 10 December 1925 Mary and the Baby Jesus appeared, always according to Lucia. The Baby Jesus said:

Have mercy on the Heart of your Most Holy Mother. E’ covered with thorns that ungrateful men pierce at all times, and there is no one to remove them (p. 46).

Then the character introduces himself as Maria and tells Lucia:

My daughter, look at my heart surrounded by thorns with which ungrateful men pierce at all times with blasphemies and ingratitudes. At least you, try to console me, and tell them that I promise to assist in the hour of death with the graces necessary for the salvation of all those who, the first Saturday of five consecutive months, they confess and receive Holy Communion, they continually recite the Rosary and keep me company for a quarter of an hour meditating on the mysteries of the Rosary, with the intention of repairing my immaculate heart (pp.46, 47).

The Basilica of Fatima is one of the largest built for an apparition

E’ this is the Mary of the Bible then?

1. The Rosary is exalted in these visions, but it is anti-scriptural in itself. Jesus taught:

But you, when you pray, go into your room and, closed the door, address your prayer to your Father which is in secret; and Father your, who sees in secret, he will give you the reward. In praying do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard for their many words. Do not be like them, For your Father knows the things you need, before you ask him. (Mat 6:6-8)

Nowhere in the Bible is it written that we must pray to Mary or pray repeatedly as the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima would like us to do.. Furthermore, the Rosary mistakenly symbolizes Mary as the center of our life. (For further information read The Rosary).

The Bible states that Jesus is our life:

I am the bread of vita. (Giovanni 6:48)

Jesus said: “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live , even if it dies” (Giovanni 11:25)

Jesus answered: “I am the way, the truth and the vita. Nobody comes to the Father if through me. (Giovanni 14:6)

When Christ, which is yours vita, appears, then you too will be manifested with him in glory. (Col 3:04)

The appearance of the vita, we have seen and witnessed, and we announce eternal life to you, who was with the Father and appeared to us. (1 Giovanni 1:2)

And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life and this vita it is in his Son. (1 Giovanni 5:11)

Whoever has the Son has the vita, whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. (1 Giovanni 5:12)

2. Jesus wishes to establish devotion to Mary in the world? Keep in mind that such has never been the desire or will of the Lord at any time in history, as expressed in the Bible. Jesus spoke of himself several times, for he is the Savior, our life, only hope. He told people to go to him, follow him, obey him, trust him, they believe in him and staying with him NOT WITH THE MOTHER “MADONNA”. The Lord WARNED who, he said “blessed is the womb that bore you and the breasts that you suckled”.

There has never been a child / mother cooperation team in the Bible.

Please note following teachings from Jesus:

Come to me, all you who are fatigued and burdened, and I will give you rest. (Mat 11:28)

The day after, Jesus decided to leave for Galilee. He found Philip and told him: “follow me”. (Giovanni 1:43)

You investigate the scriptures, because you think you have eternal life through them, and they are the ones who testify of me; yet you don't want to come to me for life! (Giovanni 5:39,40)

Then Jesus declared: “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me he will no longer be hungry and who believe in me he will no longer be thirsty.” (Giovanni 6:35)

All those the Father gives me will come to me; and he who comes to me, I will not cast him out;
(Giovanni 6:37)

On the last day, the most solemn day of the feast, Standing Jesus exclaimed: “If anyone is thirsty, come to me and drink. Who believes in me, as the Scripture said, rivers of living water will flow from her bosom ". (Giovanni 7:37-38)

When Jesus spoke to the people again, said: “I am the light of the world. Who follows me he will not walk in darkness, but he will have the light of life”. (Giovanni 8:12)

I am the door; if one enters for me, will be saved, it will come in and out , and he will find pasture.
(Giovanni 10:9)

“I am the good shepherd, I know my sheep and my sheep know me” (Giovanni 10,14)

My sheep listen to my voice and I know them and they follow me. (Giovanni 10:27)

Jesus said: “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me will live , even if it dies, and whoever lives and believe in me He will never die. Do you believe this? “(Giovanni 11:25 26)

«Your heart is not troubled; have faith in God, e have faith in me too! (Teacher 14,1)

Jesus replied: “I am the way, truth and life. Nobody comes to the Father except through me” (Giovanni 14:6)

“Be my love, you will keep my commandments " (Giovanni 14:15)

Who has the my commandments and keep them, he is the one who loves me. Whoever loves me will be loved by my Father and I too will love him and manifest myself to him. (Giovanni 14:21)

Jesus replied: «Join my mistress, he will keep my word; and my Father will love him , and we will come to him and dwell with him. Whoever doesn't love me doesn't keep my words; and the word you hear is not mine, but it is from the Father who sent me. (Giovanni 14:23-24)

Dimorate in me, and I will abide in you. Just as the branch cannot bear fruit by itself if it does not remain in the vine, so neither can you, if you do not abide in me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in me and in whom I abide, bears much fruit; because without me you can do nothing.
(Giovanni 15:4-5)

If anyone does not abide in me, it is thrown out like the branch, and it dries up; these shoots are collected, they throw themselves into the fire and burn themselves. If you abide in me and my words abide in you, ask what you want and it will be done for you. (Giovanni 15:6,7)

in matters of sin, because the men don't believe in me; (Giovanni 16:9)

I am not praying for these alone, but also for those who believe in me through their word (Giovanni 17:20)

When they had breakfast, Jesus told Simon Peter: «Simon of Giovanni, you love me more than these?"He said,: "Yup, lord, you know I love you ". Jesus said to him: "Feed my lambs". She told him again, a second time: «Simon of Giovanni, we are?"He said,: "Yup, lord; you know I love you ". Jesus said to him: "Feed my sheep". She told him the third time: «Simon of Giovanni, you love Me?Peter was saddened that he had said the third time: "You love Me?And she answered him: «Sir, you know everything; you know that I love you ". Jesus said to him: «Feed my sheep.

(Giovanni 21:15-17)

He will glorify me because he will take what is mine and announce it to you .
(Giovanni 16:14)

Our devotion, trust, faith and love go to Jesus without mentioning Maria. If we love Jesus, as He tells us, we must follow and His words and teachings. This taught us. If we don't follow his teachings it means we don't love him

Word of the Gospel!

3. The Mary of the Bible, as he says in these visions, could never tell “will never leave you”. (And it can't be ours shelter O the road that will lead us to God). Only God who can promise the disciples never to abandon them, since God is present everywhere.

Be strong and courageous, do not fear and do not be afraid of them, because the LORD, your God, he is the one who walks with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.". (He gave 31:6)

The LORD himself walks before you; he will be with you; He will not leave you nor forsake you ; do not fear and do not lose heart ".
(Deuteronomy 31:8)

No one will be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I'll be with you; I will not leave you and I will not abandon you. (Joshua 1:5)

Furthermore, our shelter it is clearly God not Mary:

my God, my cliff, where I take refuge, my shield, my mighty savior,

my high shelter, my asylum. O my savior, you save me from violence! (2 Sam. 22,3).

As for God, his path is perfect, the word of the Lord is perfect. He is a shield for all who take him in refuge. (2 Sam 22:31)

Pay homage to the son, so that the LORD will not be angry and you will not perish in your way, because suddenly his anger could flare up. Blessed are all who trust in him! (will 2,12)

The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of difficulty . (will 9,9)

You try to confuse the hopes of the poor, for the Lord is his refuge. (will 14,6)

The LORD is my rock, my fortress, my deliverer; my God, my cliff, in which i shelter, my shield, my mighty savior, my high refuge. (will 18,2)

More important is that we need to know, for the sake of salvation, that Jesus is Street to reach the Father:

Jesus replied: “I am Street, truth and life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (Giovanni 14:6)

To say that Maria is Street to God is to say that we should trust her for salvation, it is not just disobedience to the Word of God, but it is dangerously deadly spiritually speaking.

4. To say that Maria wants the repair for sins committed and say to make amends, to pay for our sins, which is absolutely scriptural. When people sin they do not sin against Mary since she is not here among us and we cannot harm her and since she is not a divinity . People can sin against someone who is among us, some living thing, and in this way he is sinning against God.

In this house, he himself is no greater than me and nothing has forbidden me, if not you, because you are his wife. How then could I do this great evil and sin against God?»
(Gen 39,9)

so that they do not teach you to imitate all the abominable practices they do for their gods and you do not sin against the LORD your God. (He gave 20:18)

As for me, far be it from me to sin against the LORD by ceasing to pray for you! Rather, I will show you the good and straight way. (1 Sam 12:23)

Saul added: "Go among the people and tell everyone to bring his ox and his sheep here and slaughter them here; then eat and do not sin against the LORD by eating flesh with blood!" That night, each of the people led his ox with his own hand and slaughtered it on the stone. (1 Sam 14:34)

in any cause that is brought before you by your brothers living in their cities , whether it is murder or a law or a commandment or a statute or a precept, warn them, lest they be guilty of the Lord, and his anger does not fall upon you and your brothers. In this way, you will not be guilty. (2 Cr 19,10)

I have kept your word in my heart so as not to sin against you.
(will 119:11)

Because if you forgive men their sins, your heavenly Father will forgive you too;
(Mat 6:14)

Now, thus sinning against the brothers, hurting their conscience which is weak, you sin against Christ. (1 Cor 8,12)

5. Unlike what the visions of Fatima claim, no one can get it the grace, praying the rosario. If we could, then there would now be a means of obtaining grace which never existed for the former 1000 years of Christianity, since the prayer of the Rosary began in 1090 dC.

6. To save souls from hell, God wants the true gospel to be found in order to declare the forgiveness of sins. This forgiveness never comes from devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. In the Gospel it is summarized as repentance towards God and the faith in Christ Jesus (proceedings 20:21). We show our repentance for our actions (proceedings 26:20) and and we persevere in faith in Christ and the gospel to be saved (Mt 10,22). This is the message that Jesus wanted his followers to spread throughout the world. Please note that Mary is not included in the message that Jesus gave to the disciples.

7. The following is a clear example of a false gospel, but it is still part of the message of salvation in Fatima. The apparition that claims to be Maria said:

I promise to assist in the hour of death with the graces necessary for salvation all those who, the first Saturday of five consecutive months, they confess and receive Holy Communion, they recite the Rosary five dozen times and they keep me company for a quarter of an hour, while they meditate on the mysteries of the Rosary, with the intention to repair what they did to me (p. 47).

Maria does not have the ability or influence to do so a like a promise and assist in his own salvation. Furthermore, even if he did, its directives are not true. All this talk about going to confession, receive communion, acting 5 dozens of times the Rosary, etc. it is all foreign to the Bible. This was never Jesus' message, Paolo, Pietro, Giovanni, Giacomo, etc.

It gave, immutable, perfect, omnipotent and omnipresent, which NEVER retracts what it claims (Read God seen by Catholics) he gave his message of salvation which the apparitions have completely upset by presenting another gospel, a false gospel.

The Bible warns us:

Then there is no other gospel; however, there are some who upset you and want to subvert the gospel of Christ. But also if we or an angel from heaven preached a different gospel to you than the one we preached to you, be anathema. (Gal 1,7-9)

Fatima's messages are anti-Biblical, they are a false Gospel and it is obvious that they are the work of the devil.

Maria is beata because she gave birth to Jesus?

Almost two thousand years ago, one woman tried to publicly exalt Mary for giving birth to Jesus, in the presence of the Lord himself and his disciples:

While he was saying these things, from the crowd a woman raised her voice and said to him: "Blessed is the womb that bore you and the breasts at which You nursed! But he said: «Rather blessed are those who hear the word of God and put it into practice!» (Luca 11:27,28)

The Lord approved his praise of Mary? Sacred Scripture affirms that the Lord publicly rebuked the exaltation of the woman-Mary (note that in the Gospel He always addresses her as a woman, as if to place a barrier between her human being and him divinity !)

Satan can masquerade as angel of light

Among the many ways in which the devil tries to deceive people there is also that of visions. According to the following biblical passage, we must be on guard against such a subtle form of deception:

No wonder it is, for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness; their end will be according to their works. (2 Cor 11:14-15)

This explains why the truth of the Fatima message is so foreign to the Bible. It also explains how such a view could support many Catholic practices that are unscriptural in themselves.

The miracle of the sun and the healings

If the devil is able to deceive sincere people through these visions, then how we should see the solar miracle and the healings that took place in Fatima? The 13 July, Lucia asked Maria for a miracle so that everyone could trust her. In response, Maria answered:

Keep coming here every month. In October I will tell you who I am and what I want, and there will be a miracle for all to believe (p. 29).

The miracle of the 13 October 1917 is described by Lucia with the following words:

… And opening your hands, made the sun rotate. While you went up, the reflection of His person was projected onto the sun itself. This is why I screamed out loud “Look at the sun” (p. 40).

Beyond the solar miracle there have been reported physical healings over the years in Fatima. Undoubtedly, many believe that this must surely be God's work. But the truth is that if we go to the Scriptures, we learn that there are two sources of such miraculous healings: God and the devil. (Read: Satan can heal? e Apparitions and Miracles)

Fatima: Discrepancies

The 13 May 1917, when Mary of Fatima began to appear to the three little shepherds, among other things, he told them:

I came to ask you to come here [Cova da Iria] for six consecutive months, the day 13 of each month at the same time. Later I will tell you what I want. And I will come back here again a seventh time.

Wrong place and time!

The fourth apparition occurred on 15 August 1917 in a place other than Cova da Iria called Valinhos. A different source shows a four-day discrepancy from this account:

On Sunday afternoon 19 August, Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta were grazing with sheep in a rocky field known as Valinhos, about a kilometer and a half from Fatima, when they suddenly noticed the start of the extraordinary atmospheric phenomena that had preceded the visions in Cova da Iria. (Francis Johnson, Fatima: The Great Sign Tan books [and Publishers, Rockford, Illinois], p. 45.)

Note: In both quotes non era the 13 of the month e it was not in the place where Maria had told the children she would appear. E’ It is possible that the omniscient God was taken by surprise and had to send Mary to a different place on a different day to the one originally announced?

Penance for salvation, drinking water pond?

Following the Fatima message, three children were influenced in a very strong and dangerous way:

The three children are committed in the most severe penance for the salvation of sinners. They wore a tight rope around the waist, they gave their lunches to the poor, and they did not drink all day with all the heat it was during the nese of August of 1917. Later, Jacinta even had the intention of drinking the water from a pond frequented by cattle. (Fatima: the great sign, p. 37.)

Once again, From a biblical point of view the above statements are far from God and the truth , in particular for the following reasons:

(1) Jesus' sacrifice on the cross of Calvary was enough to repay the sins of humanity once and for all. There is nothing more than Lucia, Hyacinth or any other, can do to improve, no other sacrifice as this was performed by the Lamb of God, perfect and pure.

(2) It is impossible that humanity sinned against Mary, as the apparition of Fatima says, and there is no need for reparation for him. Rather, what commands humanity , to the children, to the faithful, penances and sacrifices, they are not just anti-biblical, but they are pure evil to make people suffer, something that God does not want for us as we have already been redeemed by the blood of Christ shed on the cross.

(3) In october, Mary of Fatima revealed herself as the Madonna of the Rosary. This proves once again that the spiritual force behind these apparitions is not the same as the one behind the Scriptures.

The bad fruits of Fatima and other visions

Unfortunately, Jacinta having given her trust to Mary for her salvation, he began to continuously experience phenomena of trance and ecstasy which compromised his mental stability:

During this time his love for God and Our Lady seemed to have risen to ecstatic heights. She never tired of repeating: “…. Sweet Heart of Mary, be my salvation! “(Fatima The Great Sign, pp. 82,83).

Only God knows how many others have likewise been misled through visions over the years. And this also happened to Joseph Smith and Ellen G.. White, the founders of the Mormons and Seventh-day Adventists respectively, that have affected and affected millions of Mormons and Seventh-day Adventists over the years.

Fatima: a Compendium of the Catholic Faith

The Bishop of Fatima, stated in 1975: “Fatima as a whole is a compendium of the Catholic faith.”

To be more precise, the visions of Fatima confirmed most of the Catholic doctrines:

  • The apparitions of the Madonna once again underline the priority of penance and prayer, in particular the daily recitation of the Rosario, which contains all the mysteries of our salvation, as Pope Leo XIII pointed out.
  • They confirmed the doctrine of the Holy Trinity , the Sacrifice of the Mass, the authority of the Pope, the existence of Paradise, Purgatory and Hell, of saints and demons that the modernists try to eliminate, the meaning and value of suffering, the evil of sin e the grave obligation of every Christian commitment to work for the atonement of sins, the need for interior conversion, the indwelling of God in the souls of the righteous by grace, the mystery of Christ's redemption, the unique role of Mary as our Mediatrix with Christ, the importance of devotion to the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, the practice of virtues and the corporal work of mercy and so on. The doctrine of original sin is also implicit in Fatima, for the Immaculate Heart of Mary, which emphasizes Fatima, clearly focuses the Immaculate Conception, which in turn emphasizes the doctrine of the Fall. (Fatima, the great sign, pp. 75,76).

Another false gospel

It is clear from these proofs that Our Lady of Fatima is not the Mary of the Bible. There is only one way to be saved and Mary is not even indirectly connected in the smallest way with our salvation, according to the Bible.

The Scriptures that are cannot be ignored able to give us the wisdom that leads to salvation through the faith that is in Christ Jesus:

And that since childhood you have known the sacred scriptures that are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through the faith that is in Christ Jesus (2 Tim. 3,15).

The proof for the visions

Once again, the real bench of test for Fatima it is the message itself, how this contradicts the message of the Bible. The apparition of Fatima proved to be from a different source than the one that the Bible gave us. To be more precise, this different source is an enemy trying to take us away from absolute trust and dependence on Jesus, which is our life, our salvation, as stated in the scriptures.
