Biblical references on Predestination and Election
The concept of election is present throughout Scripture, from Creation to the coming of Christ and the present times. God always predetermined what would happen and chose peoples, ministry, apostles and believers to whom to grant grace.
Here are some passages of Scripture in support of predestination.
Of Christ as Messiah
Here is my servant, I will support it; my chosen one of whom I am pleased; I put my spirit on him, he will show righteousness to the nations. (Isaiah 42:1)
In fact it is read in Scripture: "Here, I set a cornerstone in Zion, choice, precious and anyone who believes in it will not be confused ". (1Pietro 2:6)
Good angels
I pray you, before God, to Christ Jesus and the chosen angels, to observe these things without prejudice, and to do nothing with partiality. (1Timoteo 5:21)
Of Israel
For you are a people consecrated to the LORD your God. The Sir, your God, he has chosen you to be his particular treasure among all the peoples who are on the face of the earth (Deuteronomy 7:6)

Of ministers

According to God's will.

The eternal election.

Sovereign God.
For he saith to Moses: "I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.", but of God who shows mercy. (Romans 9:15-16)
but God chose the crazy things of the world to put the wise to shame; God chose the weak things in the world to shame the strong ones (1Corinthians 1:27)

Double predestination. We must not object to God's choices.

For adoption.
having predestined us in his love to be adopted through Jesus Christ as his children, according to the benevolent design of his will (Ephesians 1:5)
Out of conformity with Christ.
Because those he foreknew, he also predestined them to conform to the image of his Son, that he may be the firstborn among many brothers; and those whom he predestined he also called; and those he called he also justified; and those he justified he also glorified. (Romans 8:29-30)
For good works.
in fact we are his work, having been created in Christ Jesus to do good works, that God has previously prepared for us to practice (Ephesians 2:10)
For spiritual warfare.
One who goes to war does not get involved in matters of civilian life, if he wants to please the one who enlisted him. (2 Timoteo 2:4)
and this to make known the richness of his glory towards the vessels of mercy which he had already prepared for glory (Romans 9:23)
SAFETY SAFETY
Effective Call.
and those whom he predestined he also called; and those he called he also justified; and those he justified he also glorified.(Romans 8:30)
Divine teaching.
I have manifested your name to the men you gave me from the world; they were yours and you gave them to me; ed essi hanno osservato la tua parola. (Giovanni 17:6)
Faith in Christ.
Foreigners, hearing these things, they rejoiced and glorified the Word of God; and all who were ordained to eternal life, they believed. (proceedings 13:48)
God's acceptance.
What then? What Israel seeks, It not got it; while they got the elect; e the rest were hardened (Romans 11:7)
Protection of the elect.
If the Lord hadn't shortened those days, no one would escape; but, because of his elect, he shortened those days. (Marco 13:20)
Vindication of their wrongs.
Therefore God will not do justice to his chosen ones who cry out to him day and night? It will be late for them? (Luca 18:07)
All things work together for the good of the elect.
Now we know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, which are named according to his design. (Romans 8:28)
Bliss.
Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; blessed are the people he has chosen for his inheritance. (Strait 33:12)
Blessed are those who choose and welcome, because he dwells in your courtyards! We will be satisfied with the goods of your home, of the holy things of your temple.(Strait 65:4)
The legacy.
I will bring out a seed from Jacob and an heir of my mountains from Judah; my chosen ones will own the country, my servants will live there. (Isaiah 65:9)

Behavior of the elect.
Get dressed, therefore, as God's elect, saints and loved ones, of feelings of mercy, of benevolence, of humility, di mansuetudine, of patience. (Colossesi 3:12)

io voglio restare neutrale a questa teoria della predestinazione perchè anche io da me lo pensata ma dentro di me c’è qualcosa che mi dice che non è esatta no sbagliata ma nemmeno esatta, poi io ho letto che la chiesa evangelica e sempre esistita e perseguitata da quella ufficiale cattolica, ora non faccio come i tdg che dicono che esistono da abele e noe assolutamente e poi per me poteva nascere anche 14 anni fa quando l’ho cercata io, perche in base ai miei studi era quella dove mi identificavo di piu’, no la perfetta ma la migliore in base a quello che mi aveva trasmesso la bibbia. A me non mi ha convinto o convertito nessuno perche ho amato Gesu’ da bambino e ho sentito la mia appartenenza a lui da sempre nonostante (omissis).
Io come ho gia spiegato ho una visione piu universale della chiesa.
vorrei fare una domanda personale a ChristianFaith che è la seguente e vorrei sapere in base alle sue convinxioni o conoscenze il perche.
Io mi son formato in una chiesa pentecostal molto attiva che veniva spesso visitata da grandi carismatici persone che per imposizione di mani buttavano giu decine di persone (per te caos lo so) ma nonostante cio io non ho mai perso conoscenza non sono mai caduto non ho mai perso le forze, non mi e mai successo niente a volte quando venivano come li chiamo io i super pastori nelle nostre riunioni private e solo in quelle mi si presentava questo scenario: tutta la chiesa a terra e parlo di centinaia di persone ed io l’unico in piedi mi trovavo anche in imbarazzo e a volte mi spostavo camminando in mezzo ai loro corpi e me ne andavo anche afflitto all’inizio poi sapevo che era cosi e basta, ricordo un super pastore americano che a chiunque sfiorassse o imponesse le mani pure a distanza mandava a terra, che si mise di peso su di me ed e alto due metri e pesa e pregava insistentemente su di me, ma nonostante cio io non ho avuto alcun minimo minimo cedimento, avrei potuto prendermelo sulle spalle e portarlo via come se fosse niente. ora ti chiedi se è possibile sena offendere il movimento perche io ci credo, in base a quello che pensi tu perche mi accade questo. nell’ omissis da dove io provengo che ogni tanto vado a trovarli mi hanno dato una spiegazione. i pentecostali un’altra; un’amica luterana un’altra tirandomi anche lei fuori questa dottrina o pensiero della predestinazione che gia avevo letto quando ho studiato la riforma di lutero ed i pensieri di Calvino. gradirei anche una tua risposta grazie.
Strange, anche i luterani credono nella predestinazione, tutte le denominazioni della riforma storica ci credono!
Non capisco cosa vuoi sapere da me però… si crede alla predestinazione, non subito, all’inizio tutti la ripudiano perchè legati ancora al concetto che la salvezza si possa meritare cn i nostri sforzi 8(cioè con il nostro atto di fede), ma con la maturità spirituale e la conoscenza biblica approfondita. Io mi sono convertita nel 2015 e non ci credevo, nessuno mi ha convertita, non ho mai frequentato una chiesa regolarmente, sempre fatto da autodidatta, nessun pastore di ha convinta. In 2015 ho afferrato al volo questa dottrina per illuminazione: coloro che credono sono stati scelti da Dio e predestinati alla salvezza (it is biblical, non possiamo farci nulla, non si puo sputare sopra ai diversi versi della bibbia che parlano dell’elezione!). Jesus said, “Quelli che il Padre mi manderà non li caccerò fuori” (note: che il padre gli manderà). Then “Nessuno può arrivare a me se non lo ha attirato il Padre che mi ha mandato”. E’ Dio che invia la gente verso Gesù per la salvezza. Questo è il dono della fede che fa “a molti”. Nessuno si convertirà mai a Dio se Egli non l’ha aletto dal principio. E’ questo è chiaro e logico, God is sovereign. Ingiusto? NO. Dio fa come vuole. Potrebbe anche non salvare nessuno, ma per amore nostro ha mandato suo Figlio a lavare i peccati di molti.

Double predestination? Of course. Dio fa come vuole e noi non possiamo lamentarci se Egli fa nascere persone destinate alla perdizione:

How ChristianFaith, volevo chiedereti se tutte le chiese protestanti credono nell'elezione, se i pentecostali credono in essa (l'elezione) e il significato di Apocalisse 3:20 e Romani 10:13.

Tutte le chiese protestanti storiche credono nella predestinazione: Lutherans, calvinisti, battisti, in teoria anche valdesi e metodisti. Tutti hanno nella loro confessione di fede la Grazia di Dio, la sua sovranità e la predestinazione. La fede del resto, it is a gift from God, non siamo noi che facciamo qualcosa. E' Dio che sceglie a chi donarla.
No, le chiese evangeliche moderne (pentecostali e fratelli) non ci credono. Esse sono nate lo scorso secolo, come protesta contro tutta la storia passata e hanno ricreato una religione ex novo, rinnegando tutto cio che è stata la storia della chiesa, i concili, gli scritti dei padri della chiesa e i teologi della riforma. Fossi in te non li prenderei tanto in considerazione. Anche se devo dirti che, ultimamente si sta avendo la conversione anche in queste chiese: sempre più persone credono alla predestinazione, in tutti gli ambiti evangelici. Del resto è una verità biblica innegabile! C'è solo tanto pregiudizio nell'approfondirla, ma una volta approfondito l'argomento non puoi negare che sa cosi.
Apocalypse 3:20 e Romani 10:13, come tanti altri, spiegano solo come avviene la conversione per Grazia di Dio, ma l'elezione viene da Dio, non siamo noi a sceglierlo. Lui chiama solo chi ha eletto, e lo santifica tramite Cristo. Nota infatti che Gesù ha detto "Tutti quelli che il Padre mi dà verranno a me; and he who comes to me, I will not cast him out" Giovanni 6:37
E' Dio che manda gli eletti verso Cristo per la santificazione e la salvezza.

Questo passo, like many others, è molto eloquente, e personalmente mi ha aiutato molto a comprendere ciò che anche tu oggi ti domandi. Spero dunque che possa essere d'aiuto anche a te! 🙂
Alessio, i pentecostali fanno parte del movimento del risveglio nato nel 1900, credono di parlare in lingue e che questo venga da Dio come avvenne ai tempi del Nuovo Testamento, nelle loro chiese il più delle volte è il caos totale e il frastuono di urla e pianti, "presunti" profeti guaritori e esorcisti. vedo che ti interessa. Credo che tu ne stia per frequentare una di quelle chiese. Vacci cauto e informati prima di fare questo passo. Hanno una visione distorta della Scrittura sia per quanto riguarda i passi dei doni carismatici che per la Sovranità di Dio. Sono le chiese piu diffuse in Italia, ma questo non deve farti credere che siano nel giusto, perche guarda il cattolicesimo che è il piu diffuso al mondo! I cristiani di cui Gesù parla sono pochi, non tanti. Vorrei pubblicare qualcosa al piu presto ma so che mi tirerò addosso le critiche e le antipatie della maggior parte degli evangelici italiani.
