Biblical references on Predestination and Election

The concept of election is present throughout Scripture, from Creation to the coming of Christ and the present times. God always predetermined what would happen and chose peoples, ministry, apostles and believers to whom to grant grace.

Here are some passages of Scripture in support of predestination.

Of Christ as Messiah

Here is my servant, I will support it; my chosen one of whom I am pleased; I put my spirit on him, he will show righteousness to the nations. (Isaiah 42:1)

In fact it is read in Scripture: "Here, I set a cornerstone in Zion, choice, precious and anyone who believes in it will not be confused ". (1Pietro 2:6)

Good angels

I pray you, before God, to Christ Jesus and the chosen angels, to observe these things without prejudice, and to do nothing with partiality. (1Timoteo 5:21)

Of Israel

For good works.

in fact we are his work, having been created in Christ Jesus to do good works, that God has previously prepared for us to practice (Ephesians 2:10)

For spiritual warfare.

One who goes to war does not get involved in matters of civilian life, if he wants to please the one who enlisted him. (2 Timoteo 2:4)

The legacy.

I will bring out a seed from Jacob and an heir of my mountains from Judah; my chosen ones will own the country, my servants will live there. (Isaiah 65:9)
