The kingdom of Judah having to guarantee the descendants of the Messiah, continues to be guarded by God, he must maintain his own identity until the arrival of Jesus Christ. The Prophecy says that the Messiah is descended from Judah, the scion of Isai, therefore a descendant of David: The Lord said to Samuel: “As long as you mourn for Saul, while I l’ I have rejected it so that you no longer reign over Israel? Fill your horn with oil, and go; I will send you to Jesse of Bethlehem, because I have provided myself with a king among his children” (I Sam.16:1) “Then a branch will come out of the trunk of Isai, and a scion will sprout from its roots. The spirit of the Lord will rest on him: spirit of wisdom and intelligence, spirit of advice and strength, spirit of knowledge and fear of the Eternal. He will breathe the fear of the Eternal like perfume, will not judge by appearance, he will not give sentences according to hearsay, but he will judge the poor with justice, he will be right with equity to the humble of the country. He will strike the land with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips he will make the wicked die. Justice will be the belt of his kidneys, and faithfulness the girdle of his hips” (Isaiah 11:1/5).

Judas also undergoes deportation (605 a.C.) by the Babylonians with Nebuchadnezzar, per 70 years: “For thus speaks the Eternal: When seventy years will be completed for Babylon, I will visit you and send my good word to effect for you, making you come back to this place” (Ger. 29:10) , ” the first year of his reign, I, Daniele, meditating on books, I saw the number of years the Eternal had spoken of to the prophet Jeremiah, and during which Jerusalem was to be in ruins, he was seventy years old” (And. 9:2).

During these seventy years the Prophet Daniel arises, which is the tool that God uses to reveal some prophecies, which allow us to understand the sequence of events relating to the nations of the earth from the time of Nebuchadnezzar to the coming of Christ, skipping the era of grace, the one that goes from the diaspora to the last seven years of our time, with plenty of details, especially the time during the rule of the Antichrist.

This last aspect is completed and deepened by John in the book of Revelation.

The tool that God used to inform man about the stages of his plan is made up of the Prophets. In the Bible there are what are called the major Prophets which are four, Isaiah (739-685 a.C.) Geremia, Ezekiel and Daniel, Prophets living astride the deportation of Judah to Babylon (627- 536 a.C.). The Minor Prophets cover the period from 830 al 488 to.C. It should be noted that during the deportation by the Assyrians very important Prophets such as Isaiah were active, Micah and Hosea and Jeremiah were in business during the deportation to Babylon, Zaccaria and Daniele. It would seem that God wanted to be particularly scrupulous in explaining the events through the Prophets and also to be of comfort to confirm to the Israelites that however it is He who is in control of the situation.. Today it is the same for us Christians too, while everyone is dismayed and insecure about the future, besieged by news of massacres, war, earthquakes, sexual abuse, illnesses, violence, robberies and so on and so forth, the knowledge we gain through the Bible makes us confident, both for the present time, biologically alive, than for the future time when our life will be essentially spiritual.

All the Prophets in their books usually contain warnings and teachings for the people, of the prophecies relating to the immediate time and the distant future, those relating to the coming of the Messiah, sometimes as Salvatore as in Isaiah 53, sometimes like Leo, liberator of Israel establishing His kingdom on earth as in Isaiah 25.

Often the prophecies have a double meaning, the same prophecy applies to the immediate and future as in Daniele 11, where the prophecy relating to Antiochus Epiphanes also concerns the Antichrist.

We can affirm that with Isaiah, God gives a strong spiritual shock which continues with the deportation to Babylon.

With the deportation of Judah to Babylon, Solomon's Temple is destroyed as well as the walls of Jerusalem, the spiritual apathy and the false security of the people of Judah are directly turned upside down by God who uses Nebuchadnezzar as a picklock, as will happen to the generation that will be shaken by the devastating work of the Antichrist, thank God I will not have this experience, since either I will die first or I will be the protagonist of the Rapture of the Church along with all the Christians and probably the children (II Tess. 4:17).

 

THE GREEKS, THE MIDDLES AND THE SHUTTERS, ROMA, THE WORLD GOVERNMENT, THE KINGDOM OF CHRIST

Daniel delves into the subject of human kingdoms in the chapter 7 (3-27)

And four great beasts came up from the sea (humanity), one different from the other (Four human kingdoms) . The first was like a lion, and had eagle wings (Babylon). I looked, until its wings were torn off; and was lifted off the ground, she was made to stand like a man, and she was given a human heart. And here's a second beast, similar to a bear; it stood up on one side (Medes and Persians with a predominant part that of Persians) , he had three ribs in his mouth between his teeth (the Susania, Lydia and Asia Minor); and she was told: “Get up, eat a lot of meat!” After this, I watched, and here is another one similar to a leopard (Alexander the Great), who was wearing four bird's wings; this beast had four heads (Asia Minor, Egypt, Syria and Macedonia), and dominion was given to it. After this, I watched, in night vision, and here is a fourth dreadful beast, terrible and extraordinarily strong (Roma); he had big teeth, of iron; devoured and tore apart, and trampled the rest with his feet; it was different from all the beasts that had preceded it, and had ten horns. I was examining those horns, and here's another little horn (Antichrist) appeared among them, and three of the first horns were uprooted before it; and behold that horn had eyes similar to human eyes, and a mouth that spoke great things. I continued to watch until the moment when thrones were placed, and an old man sat down. His robe was white as snow, and the hair of his head was like pure wool; flames of fire were his throne and the wheels of it were burning fire. A river of fire gushed and flowed from his presence; a thousand thousands served him, and ten thousand myriads stood before him. The judgment was held, and the books were opened. Then I looked because of the proud words that the horn uttered; I looked, until the beast was killed, and his body destroyed, thrown into the fire to be burned (Return of Jesus in glory to Harmageddon). As for the other beasts, dominion was taken away from them; but they were granted an extension of life for a fixed time (God grants the survivors to live during the Thousand Year reign while maintaining national identity). I watched, in night visions, and behold, one like a son of man comes in the clouds of heaven; he came to the old man, and was brought up to him. And he was given dominion, glory and kingdom, because all peoples, all nations and languages ​​served him (Kingdom of the Thousand Years); his dominion is an eternal dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom, a kingdom that will not be destroyed. As for me, Daniele, my spirit was troubled within me, and the visions of my mind frightened me. I approached one of the bystanders, and I asked him the truth about all this; and he spoke to me, and he gave me the interpretation of those things: “These four great beasts, there are four kings who will rise from the earth; then the saints of the Most High will receive the kingdom and possess it forever, from eternity to eternity (Kingdom of the Thousand Years)”.
Then I wished to know the truth about the fourth beast (Roma), which was different from all the others, extraordinarily terrible, who had iron teeth and copper nails, that devoured, tore apart, and trampled the rest with his feet, and around the ten horns he had on his head, and around the other horn that was sticking out, and before which three had fallen: to that horn that had eyes, and a mouth uttering great things, and which appeared larger than the other horns (The Antichrist, the Beast rising from the Sea). I looked, and that same horn made war on the saints and had the upper hand (The Antichrist in the second phase of the Tribulation of three and a half years will prevail over the converts to Christ), until the old man came and the judgment was given to the saints of the Most High (Jesus returns in glory with the Saints of the Church, kidnapped before the Tribulation), and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom (The Millennium). And he spoke to me thus: “The fourth beast is a fourth kingdom on earth, which will differ from all kingdoms, it will devour all the earth, he will trample it down and crush it. The ten horns are ten kings who will rise from this kingdom (Ten governments that will arise from what was the Roman Empire); e, after those, another will arise (the Antichrist), which will be different from the previous ones, and overthrow three kings (Daniel repeats this fact several times that of the ten governments three rulers will be overthrown by the Antichrist, perhaps they will be killed or otherwise eliminated, it is probably a special sign to be able to identify the Antichrist when his coming to power will take place).

He will utter words against the Most High, it will reduce the saints of the Most High to their limitations, and will think of changing the times and the law; the saints will be given into his hands (it will get the better of converted Christians, called the saints of the Tribulation – the Church will not be there) for a while, of the times, and half of the past (3 years and a half). Then the judgment will be held and its dominion will be taken away, that will be destroyed and annihilated forever (Return in glory of Jesus at the end of the Tribulation). And the kingdom and the dominion and the greatness of the kingdoms that are under all the heavens will be given to the people of the saints of the Most High; his kingdom is an eternal kingdom, and all dominions will serve him and obey him (the reign of the Thousand Years)”
(And. 7:3-27)

In this step the sequence of events is repeated three times, in this way the message of God is also interpreted by Daniel himself. Nowadays, at least for those who wanted to study history, the sequence of these human kingdoms that have dealt with Israel is clear:

The first kingdom is Babylon, contemporary to Daniele, the second is Medo and Persian, the Third is Alexander the Great, with four heads that signify the four generals who will divide Alexander's reign, Asia Minor, Egypt, Syria and Macedonia. Of which the most powerful were the Ptolemies who ruled Egypt for 293 years from 323 al 30 D.C.. and the Seleucids who ruled Syria from 312 al 65 to.C. from which arose Antiochus IV Epiphanes was a bestial persecutor of the people of Israel, came to sacrifice a pig in the Temple of Solomon in Jerusalem (rebuilt after the destruction of Nebuchadnezzar), he was a prototype of the Antichrist, the Chapter prophecy refers to him 8 by Daniele, which repeats the sequence of the advent of Alexander the Great in 333 to.C.

“I saw the ram (Medo and Persian Empire) that clashed in the west, north and south; no beast could stand up to him, and there was no one who could free her from her power; it did what it wanted, and became great. And how I was considering this, here comes a goat from the west (Alexander the Great of Macedon), which ran across the entire surface of the earth without touching the ground (in ten years Alexander conquered everything that was possible to conquer); and this goat had a conspicuous horn between its eyes. It came up to the ram with the two horns that I had seen standing before the river, and rushed at him, in the fury of his strength. And I saw him come close to the ram, full of anger against him, invest it, and break his two horns (Medes and Persians); the ram did not have the strength to stand up to him, and the goat knocked him down and trampled on him; and there was no one who could free the ram from its power.

The goat became extremely large; but, when it was powerful, his great horn was broken; e, in place of that, four conspicuous horns arose, towards the four winds of heaven (Asia Minor, Egypt, Syria and Macedonia).

And from one of them came a small horn (Antiochus IV Epiphanes and the Antichrist, bivalent prophecy), which became very large around noon, towards the east, and towards the splendid country. He grew up, until it reaches the army of heaven; he caused part of that army and some stars to fall to the ground, and trampled them. Indeed, he rose to the head of that army, he took away the perpetual sacrifice, and the place of his sanctuary was torn down.

The army was handed over to him with perpetual sacrifice because of the rebellion; and the horn threw the truth to the ground, and prospered in his enterprises.”

(And 8:4-12) the same sequence is always described by Daniele: “And now I'll let you know the truth. here, three kings will rise again in Persia (Assuero, Artaserse, Dario Istapse – not the Medo) ; then the fourth will become much richer than all the others (Serse 480 a.C.); and when he has grown strong for his riches, will raise everyone against the kingdom of Javan (Greece). Then a mighty king will arise, who will exercise great dominion and will do whatever he pleases (Alexander the Great 335 a.C.). But when will it arise, his kingdom will be broken, and will be divided towards the four winds of heaven (Tolomeo, Lisimaco, Cassander, Seleucus, and mooved out of the); it will not belong to his offspring (in fact it was divided among his generals), nor will it have power like that which he had; for his kingdom will be uprooted and passed on to others; not to his heirs.” (And 11:2-4) E’ surprising to note, for those who know ancient history, how God through Daniel revealed disconcerting details about the work of the Persian kings, so much so that some non-believing scholars, to justify the enormous precision and wealth of details, he stated that the book of Daniel is much more recent than 600 to.C. but the translation of the seventy (in greek) it is much earlier than the facts dealt with in the book, especially with regard to Antiochus Epiphanes, and the translation of the seventy contains the book of Daniel. The Jewish historian Josephus states that when Alexander the Great came to Jerusalem in 332 a.C., the high priest, showed him Daniel's prophecies, which made a great impression on Alexander. Jesus himself often quoted the book of Daniel.

The fourth beast is different from the other beasts that there’ they preceded, also because his kingdom is anomalous compared to the other kingdoms, because it is broken, there is an indefinite period between its fall and the world government established by the Antichrist.

The Roman government also extends to the end of time because the fifth reign, represented by iron mixed with clay, always has iron among its materials, like the Roman Empire.

It is clear until now that God has wanted to reveal that from the time of Daniel onwards there will be five Empires that will interact with Israel., the fifth is an extension of the fourth, in the light of history, we can therefore identify the Babylonians, followed by the Medes and Persians, then the Greek empire divided into four kingdoms, and then the fourth government, Roma, monstrously violent towards Israel, assassinating the Messiah. Since Israel is completely destroyed by the fourth government, the Roman Empire, in 70 D.C.. the fifth government had to wait for Israel to come into being again to rise.

We believers, that we await the return of Jesus to the Church as Paul the Apostle says ” For this we tell you by the word of the Lord: than we living, which we will remain until the coming of the Lord, we will not precede those who have fallen asleep; because the Lord himself, with a mighty cry, with the voice of an archangel and with the trumpet of God, will come down from heaven, and the dead in Christ will raise the first; then we the living, that we will stay, we will come together with them kidnapped on the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and so we will always be with the Lord.”
(I Tess. 4:15-17) we will probably not recognize this fifth government, we will not even recognize the Antichrist, but we can guess the foundations of the structure that will support it, since we have the possibility to understand the situations that precede the realization of such an Empire.

Considerations about prophecies are often demolished by attributing an interpretation, which must always be different and convoluted with respect to the direct and simple meaning of the sentences analyzed. I believe that any good interpretation must overcome the “Child test”, which consists of taking a boy or girl under ten, the passage is read to him and then asked: what do you understand?

If the song says: ” because the Lord himself, with a mighty cry, with the voice of an archangel and with the trumpet of God, will come down from heaven, and the dead in Christ will raise the first; then we the living, that we will stay, we will come together with them kidnapped on the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and so we will always be with the Lord.” What will the answer be? ” The Lord calls the dead in Christ, that even if they are dead they become alive again, then we who are not dead, but we are alive, we are caught up in the clouds where the Lord is waiting for us, then we will be with him forever!” – fine – There is no convoluted reasoning that holds, or you believe the Bible, or if you do not believe this word, it is not legitimate to believe absolutely anything else in its content. If much of the Bible's prophecies have been fulfilled, it is therefore certain that even those not yet fulfilled will be fulfilled..

Prophecies are the tool we humans have to recognize that the God of the Bible is the Almighty and only living God
